Source Control, Design, and Waste Management
Various facility activities
or procedures conducted outside at industrial/commercial, construction,
municipal and other sites have the potential to pollute stormwater with
the following constituents: sediment, nutrients, trash, heavy metals (e.g.,
copper), oil and grease, organics, etc.
Stormwater Control
Measures
To address potential
stormwater pollution from these various facility activities or procedures
conducted outside, fifteen fact sheets prepared by the California Stormwater
Quality Association are cited below. These fact sheets provide information
on source control, site design and/or fixed facility BMPs and waste management.
They address common activities (e.g., loading/unloading of drums, tank
storage, etc.) conducted at industrial and commercial sites.
Wastewater Control
Measures
These activities and
procedures pertain to reducing or eliminating discharges to stormwater
rather than discharges to Publicly Owned Treatment Works.
